Review

A smart device from LG that claims it to be the world’s first dual core powered device, is instead a considerable device when it comes to Android! With its 8MP Full HD capabilities, dual display and Nvidia Tegra 2 graphic chipset, it is a good choice for those who are looking to buy a phone priced at $500. But LG has not shown much of its potential in this phone, IPS LCD touchscreen isn’t as awesome as Retina display . 4.0 inches screen is a comfortable screen made with comfort as the main focus. At the price of $500 it isn’t a bad deal, though you can consider other 3 phones if you have a higher budget.

MetroTwit-A sleek Twitter Client for Windows based on Metro UI

Twitter is the best platform to keep you updated with latest events and trending topics. Twitter allow us to share our feelings in 140 characters and many twitter addict like me rely more on desktop clients rather than Twitter Web. Desktop client gives you ease to manage the timeline, mentions and DM in convenient way. There are plenty of Twitter clients out there for your desktop and mostly all based on Adobe Air like TweetDeck, Seesmic etc. Today I found the light weighted efficient Twitter client for my Windows i.e. MetroTwit.

MetroTwit is based on latest Microsoft .NET 4.0 and Windows Presentation Foundation 4 frameworks. It is a first-class native application that shines on Windows. It is inspired from Microsoft Metro design and optimized for Windows 7.The interface itself is clean, elegant and functional. MetroTwit having all the features one would expect from an All in on Twitter client. Since it is not based on Adobe AIR platform, I found the functionality is very smooth.
With resizable and reorderable columns you can manage your timeline, send direct messages, reply to your followers, view current trends, categorize favorite tweets and retweets and many more.
MetroTwit need Microsoft .NET 4.0 framework components to work. When you kick-start the installation it will download the necessary .NET framework component and then install application in your pc. After installing the application, click Sign in to begin the authorization. Enter the verification code from the browser during Oath process. By default it show three columns containing your timeline, mentions and direct messages. Tweetbox is present below these columns with “Add Columns”, “Twitter List” and “Refresh” button in left side of the tweet box and “Search Twitter”, “User profiles” and “Twitter Trends” button at the right side of the tweet box.
