I am not a PC hardware guy – not because I don’t know much about it but because things are too slow to excite me to write about it. However when I saw Asus Mars II I could not resist my self from writing about it.

Sony CyberShot TX55: World’s Thinnest HD Camera

If you thought that Sony’s ultracompact Cyber-shot TX100V (announced at CES 2011) was thin, wait ’til you get a load of the newest addition to the line, the Sony Cyber-shot TX55, announced yesterday. At just 12.2mm thin, the TX55 is super pocketable, but it’s still jam-packed with features — in fact, Sony claims it’s the thinnest camera with optical image stabilization. Similar in styling to the slightlymore expensive TX100V, it shares a similar feature set, though not the GPS capability of the TX100V.

Most Powerful Dual Core Android Smartphones

2011 has been a year of dreams for Android enthusiasts.. A huge series of phones ranging from entry-level to high-end graphic enabled phones has been launched this year and a variety of phones are scheduled for launch in coming months. From LG to HTC, all have planned the launch of Dual Core powered or extremely powerful single core phones this year. In this post I will be covering 4 of the most powerful and feature rich phones currently available, so that you can decide which one suits your needs.

4′ high quality screens, high MP cameras, Full HD capabilities and dual core powered processors are some of the features common to all 4 phones.

4) LG Optimus 2X

Specifications

Display: IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
Resolution: 480 x 800 pixels, 4.0 inches
Memory: Internal 8 GB storage (upto 32GB via microSD)
Camera: Primary 8 MP and Secondary 1.3 MP, Maximum 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash
Video: Yes, 1080p@24fps, 720p@30fps
CPU: Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, ULP GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 chipset
RAM: 512 MB

Review

A smart device from LG that claims it to be the world’s first dual core powered device, is instead a considerable device when it comes to Android! With its 8MP Full HD capabilities, dual display and Nvidia Tegra 2 graphic chipset, it is a good choice for those who are looking to buy a phone priced at $500. But LG has not shown much of its potential in this phone, IPS LCD touchscreen isn’t as awesome as Retina display . 4.0 inches screen is a comfortable screen made with comfort as the main focus. At the price of $500 it isn’t a bad deal, though you can consider other 3 phones if you have a higher budget.

MetroTwit-A sleek Twitter Client for Windows based on Metro UI

Twitter is the best platform to keep you updated with latest events and trending topics. Twitter allow us to share our feelings in 140 characters and many twitter addict like me rely more on desktop clients rather than Twitter Web. Desktop client gives you ease to manage the timeline, mentions and DM in convenient way. There are plenty of Twitter clients out there for your desktop and mostly all based on Adobe Air like TweetDeck, Seesmic etc. Today I found the light weighted efficient Twitter client for my Windows i.e. MetroTwit.

MetroTwit is based on latest Microsoft .NET 4.0 and Windows Presentation Foundation 4 frameworks. It is a first-class native application that shines on Windows. It is inspired from Microsoft Metro design and optimized for Windows 7.The interface itself is clean, elegant and functional. MetroTwit having all the features one would expect from an All in on Twitter client. Since it is not based on Adobe AIR platform, I found the functionality is very smooth.
With resizable and reorderable columns you can manage your timeline, send direct messages, reply to your followers, view current trends, categorize favorite tweets and retweets and many more.
MetroTwit need Microsoft .NET 4.0 framework components to work. When you kick-start the installation it will download the necessary .NET framework component and then install application in your pc. After installing the application, click Sign in to begin the authorization. Enter the verification code from the browser during Oath process. By default it show three columns containing your timeline, mentions and direct messages. Tweetbox is present below these columns with “Add Columns”, “Twitter List” and “Refresh” button in left side of the tweet box and “Search Twitter”, “User profiles” and “Twitter Trends” button at the right side of the tweet box.

Dual Boot even after installing earlier versions of Windows later

One can have dual boot option on PC to boot multiple operating system on single computer.
For example, you can have Windows XP, Linux, Vista, Windows 7 etc on single PC by installing them in different partitions. But to have that dual configuration, you will have to install the latest version after the earlier ones. For example, you can have dual boot option if you have installed Windows 7 in different partition on a PC with already installed XP. But if you will install XP after Windows 7, boot screen will not see any option to start Windows 7. But there may be a situation where you need to install Windows XP on your pre-installed Windows 7 PC.

Apple Unveils iPad2

After the huge success of the Apple iPad , Apple Inc. (always a pioneer in technology ) has launched the next generation of iPad being called as iPad2 with loads of new features and innovations. It is confirmed that it is going to be much better. The first thing you will notice that it is 15% lighter and features two cameras , one on the front for a bigger better face time experience than Apple iPhone4 and a rear view camera for HD video recording. Here we discuss some of its features
1.iPad 2 is lighter and thinner
Apple called it an all-new design. And it is. The main physical thing is that the new iPad is thinner - 33 per cent thinner, clocking it at 8.8mm. Incredibly, that's thinner than the iPhone 4 which clocks in at 9.3mm. It's also 15 per cent lighter, which is welcome.
2. The iPad 2 has FaceTime
The new iPad has the expected front-facing VGA camera (as well as one on the back). What's the point of the one on the back? Like the iPhone 4's rear snapper, it takes 720p video (though has no flash unlike other tablets). And that's enough for us.
3. The iPad 2 battery life stays the same
The iPad 2's battery life is apparently not limited by the new design - it has the same 10 hour battery life as before, with a month of standby time Still, that's quite impressive when you think about the reduced size of the unit.

First Facebook SIM card launched

We can hardly go on a day without logging on to Facebook or even speaking the word, ‘Facebook,’ in our day to day conversation, that proves how powerful Facebook has become to our lives. To add even more power and uh, addiction, Gemalto, a Dutch digital security company has announced the creation of Facebook SIM card at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Do you still hang out with your old traditional non-Android, non-Apple and non-blackberry phone but somehow got fascinated towards social networking giant Facebook and want to carry your Facebook world wherever you go ? Then the SIM card developed by Gemalto night be helpful for you.Though, the SIM-based client isn’t as pretty as its smartphone contemporaries – don’t expect picture streams or sliding interfaces – but it was developed with the help of Facebook, and provides text-menu-based interaction with Facebook – including status updates, pokes and friend requests. The SIM card will enable even the most bare-boned handset to have Facebook functionality, albeit text based for the leaner devices known as feature phones. This will help the social network approach its goal of becoming the standard social service for all mobile phones.

Play Videos and Music in Google Chrome

A few days back I was surfing in Google Chrome(one of my favourite browsers these days). And it accidentally happened that instead of dragging a video file I dragged it into Google Chrome and Voila! It started playing and the only thing I could say was Eureka! Eureka! (sorry for the PJ)..
So lets get back into discussion. To play a video file open a new tab in Google drag it into the new tab and it will start playing. The best part is that you can still forward and rewind, play and pause just like a media player and guess what?? You can play mp3 files also.
I would recommend everybody of you to try it.It's fun ! Happy Browsing :)

Motorola Atrix launched with Android

We were expecting something dual core-ish from Motorola at CES after the leaks of the Olympus, and boy, did we get something to get excited about.
Motorola has thrown away the form book with the new Atrix, with a range of stunning specs to appease even the most hardcore user.

We’re talking a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor with two 1GHz chips running in tandem to offer a judder-free existence and lower battery consumption, as well as 1GB of RAM to keep slowdown to a minimum.
The screen is very much next generation as well, with its qHD pixel count stuffed into a 4-inch display nabbing the title of the world’s highest-res screen from the iPhone 4.
And even though the dual core processor is supposed to help with the battery life, there’s still an industry-leading 1980mAh battery squashed in the back as well, with 16GB of storage ably backed up by a microSD for up to 32GB of extra space.
Hands on: Motorola Atrix review: Design
So with all that in mind, it’s actually very surprising to find that the Motorola Atrix doesn’t look like the ugliest phone in the world – it’s no great shakes in the style stakes, but it’s averagely attractive and won’t be the most horrendous fashion statement.
The overall design is very square and black – the front is dominated by the display, with the four front touch-sensitive buttons the only difference in furniture, as well as the VGA front-facing camera for video calling.
The back is reminiscent of mottled carbon fibre, with an attractive sheen and a decent grip level – nothing spectacular, but acceptable.

Given the large screen size, it’s good to note that the phone sits well in the hand, and the screen is mostly all in reach of a finger or thumb – some jiggling will be needed to pull down the top notification bar, but overall it’s not too bad and will suit most pockets and bags.
The thickness of 10.9mm is a massive surprise when you think about the innards – that battery pack puts the likes of the HTC Desire to shame, and will hopefully become the norm in more devices as we get used to ever-more power-hungry phones in the  future.

Some Interesting domains...(Com.com,etc....)

I was just getting bored and wondered what happens when I type com.com into the browser wondering who owns the interesting domain name right now and I am telling you I was really amazed. Voila! cnet.com appeared!
So it was clear that  cnet owned the domain name because the URL was redirected to cnet.com. Now I have started to feel that CNET has gone out and grabbed some of the most interesting domains out there on the web. Guess what happens when you click this: News.com and download.com

Oh, and after I did that, I also tried the domain Net.net and I was surprised even more!
